Missed appointments reduce availability for other patients and impact our ability to provide timely care. We therefore ask all patients to give adequate notice if they are unable to attend an appointment.
The following charges apply for late attendance or where appointments are missed or cancelled without sufficient notice:
* A £35 charge applies to missed hygiene or examination appointments.
* For appointments lasting 30 minutes or more, a charge of £2 per minute missed will apply.
We recognise that unforeseen circumstances can occur. In cases of genuine mitigating circumstances, charges may be reviewed at the discretion of the practice.
For new patient appointments and extended treatment appointments, an advance deposit is required. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of treatment. If an appointment is missed, cancelled without adequate notice, or attended significantly late, the deposit may be retained and applied towards the practice’s charges as outlined above.
Where a patient repeatedly fails to attend scheduled appointments, we reserve the right to deregister the patient, in line with our responsibility to ensure fair access to care for all patients.
Our practice policies, including details of how to raise a concern or complaint, are available upon request. Please ask a member of staff if you wish to review any of these documents.
